Faces and the places have changed and a year has passed by yet the issues of community development still persist. Our campaign of development is rooted in the capacity of the communities to transform the perception, attitude and behavior pre installed in our social system. We have a bigger dream and with the existing capacity and resources, we do not visualize our goal far and our end goal is to take exit when our need is not rational further. We would like to thank the community people in supporting us in the progress of achieving our end goal.
Our motto of development campaign has been intensive in building resilience in producing, performing and projecting better infrastructures, mechanisms and lives. This year we have strived in making things better for the earthquake effected population via integration of various themes like child protection, mental health and psychosocial support, reconstruction of schools, rebuilding of houses and lives and poverty alleviation. We salute to the efforts that our communities have invested in staying strong in the time of crisis due to earthquake.
Moving ahead, recovery activities are our prime focus. Rebuilding and reconstruction activities will take up a pace and our commitment in contributing to the national development buzz has grown stronger. Never the less, the need to mitigate with the impacts of disasters and elevating to contribute to the global goals has been a serious concern. ICDC-Nepal has endorsed UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will be working out on producing necessary plans and policies to integrate our activities with the UNSDG themes of no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions, partnership for the goals.
All our prior activities, practices, learning, knowledge and challenges are the critical assets of ICDC. Our future actions will be guided, provoked and motivated with them. We would like to thank and appreciate UNICEF, PAF, World Bank, KKS, TDH, ASB, IMC/TPO, CEPP, DDC-Dhading, DEO, WCO, DCWB along with all other cooperating and collaborating agencies for their tremendous help and support till the date and we anticipate similar efforts in our future endeavors. We agree that the social change cannot be achieved over night while the issues are developing and getting more complicated with each new day and therefore our role in development campaign is critical and it's high time we pull our socks and dig into the society for greater change.
